Evidence-Based Medicine Interventional Pain Management: As a center of excellence, a pain management center must be more than a successful clinic. At Advanced Pain Treatment Center, we strive to practice evidence-based medicine. Evidence-based medicine is a conscientious, explicit, judicious and reasonable use of current best evidence in making decisions about the care of individual patient (1). There is no cookbook approach to pain management. At the Advanced Pain Treatment Center, we integrate externally validated evidence with individual clinical expertise in formulating appropriate care for each individual patient. We access and apply valid and relevant summaries of research evidence (evidence-based guidelines and systematic reviews). We evaluate the strength of the evidence-based on the below-given classification of evidence:
1a. Evidence obtained by meta-analysis of several randomized controlled research (RCR)
1b. Evidence from only one RCR
2a. Evidence from well-designed controlled research RCR
2b. Evidence from one quasi-experimental research.
3. Evidence from non-experimental studies (comparative research, case study), according t some, for example, Textbooks.
4. Evidence from experts and clinical practice.

At Commonwealth Pain & Spine, run-of-the-mill care simply doesn’t cut it for the practice’s team of experienced, highly skilled pain management physicians. With 12 conveniently located offices in St. Matthews (Louisville), Elizabethtown, Lexington, Crestview Hills, Owensboro, London and Carrollton, Kentucky. As well as in Evansville, Vincennes, New Albany, and Jasper, Indiana, and most recently opening an office in Mt. Carmel, IL, the team strives to flip the script on health care.
Commonwealth Pain & Spine is different than comparable pain management clinics in its treatment of its patients. The team avoids the standard surgery-first delivery model in favor of a less invasive, more cost-efficient model. Because each physician recognizes how exhausting chronic pain feels, they make it a point to empathize with the needs of their patients.
Improving a patient’s overall quality of life and sense of well-being takes time, compassion, and thinking outside the box. Commonwealth Pain & Spine physicians always prioritize minimally invasive, cost-effective pain treatments and procedures before recommending extensive surgery. This is because each pain management specialist on the team respects their patients’ pain and understands that surgery and opioid-based treatments do not always provide the long-lasting results that patients crave.
The physicians at Commonwealth Pain & Spine are some of the finest experts in the country. Most members of the team are double board-certified in anesthesiology and pain management and are trained under the country’s leading interventional pain fellowships. They consistently deliver the most innovative, safe, responsible, and clinically proven pain relief care available.

Don’t settle for old school treatments! New therapies are available now!IMAC Regeneration Centers uses a form of Platelet Rich Plasma known as “Pure PRP”, due to a high concentration of platelets and growth factors retrieved in the harvesting process. PRP injections are prepared from a tube of the patient’s own blood, spun in a centrifuge and the activated platelets are then injected into the patient’s damaged tissue. Torn tendons, ligaments, and muscles are just a few of the prevalent treatment areas which benefit from the healing properties of PRP. Clinical studies have shown that PRP has improved function and decreased pain to joints, muscles and connective tissue. PRP therapy has also shown great improvement in patients suffering from osteoarthritis.
At IMAC Regeneration Centers, we start by collaboratively building a personalized physical therapy treatment plan designed to help you get back to living the life you deserve. With a customized combination of appropriate rest, biomechanical loading and tissue mobilization, our physical rehabilitation therapists work with each patient to help the body heal and restore naturally. Our specialized team of doctors also work together to provide the most cutting-edge, non-surgical, prescription-free treatments for spinal injuries and disorders.
For bulging or herniated discs, IMAC Regeneration Centers utilize a combination of spinal decompression therapy coupled with regenerative medicine, chiropractic care, and physical therapy.
During spinal decompression treatment, the spine is stretched and relaxed intermittently in a controlled manner, creating a negative pressure in the disc area that can pull herniated or bulging tissue back into the disc. This innovative therapy combined with advances in regenerative medicine provides for lasting relief from spinal disc issues.
We are committed to providing the most innovative, non-invasive medical technology and care to relieve back pain and restore function.
