Non-invasive medical procedures are the mainstay of our practice. Using the most up to date techniques, our team treats patients as whole people. We provide a comprehensive assessment in order to design a customized strategy for pain relief for our patients in Layton, Utah. Stem cell research has advanced to a point that, it’s changing the quality of life for patients all over the globe.
Until recently, treatment options for people with degenerative conditions were limited. Not many years ago, steroid injections, prescription medications, and joint replacement surgeries were often the only treatment options offered to patients. You can receive stem cell injections that research shows that stem cell treatment is beneficial for osteoarthritis, neuropathy, chronic pain, disc bulge and herniation, spinal stenosis, joint pain, and symptoms of autoimmune disorders, fibromyalgia, neurodegenerative diseases, and COPD. Stem cell injections work with the body’s natural ability to heal itself. Unlike treatments that simply address the symptoms, stem cell therapy actually promotes repair of the body, restoring degenerated tissue.

Utah Pain Relief Institute clinics utilize different types of stem cells and a variety of methods to administer the cells. Each treatment is customized to the individual patient, taking into account many factors related to overall health and the ailment being treated. Other stem cell clinics use one type of stem cell exclusively. This is simply not the case. Our physicians understand when and how to use a variety of regenerative medicine techniques and applications. We’ll discuss a handful of these scenarios at the educational seminar.
Utah Pain Relief Institute is committed to using the best practices in regenerative medicine as stem cell therapies become an emerging and validated medical treatment in the United States. This is demonstrated by practicing the approved protocols for stem cell therapies that have been established under the International Cell Surgical Society’s Institutional Review Board.

Dr. Cimikoski was born and raised in Fairfield County, CT, in the suburbs of Manhattan. As a youth, he excelled in several contact sports, including hockey, lacrosse, and soccer. By the time he was 17 years old, he had suffered multiple sports-related knee injuries (on both knees) and underwent numerous surgeries, ultimately culminating in major reconstructive knee surgery during his senior year of high school. This essentially ended his participation in competitive contact sports and he started to pursue other passions in non-contact sports, including skiing and windsurfing. This is what brought him to the beautiful mountains of Utah where he could delight to his heart’s content in the plentiful powdery snow.
He has completed seven years of specialty residency and fellowship training. He received his medical training at Brown University, where he did his Internship, followed by his Emergency Medicine Residency at Georgia Health Sciences University and Albany Medical Center. He also completed a Critical Care Fellowship in Medical Toxicology at Penn State University. To indulge his vice of windsurfing, he took a several year hiatus from the rat race and rigors of Emergency Medicine to work as a Ship’s Physician for Carnival Cruise Lines. While working for Carnival in 2004, he met his beautiful wife, Sarah (from Brazil), and they decided to settle in Utah in 2009 to start a family. They now have three young children under the age of six, two boys and a girl.
Because of his commitment to providing the very best in regenerative medicine and helping people get long-lasting results, Dr. Cimikoski has sought and achieved designations beyond his academic background. He is one of the very few (less than 40 doctors in the USA) to have successfully obtained the designation of IROM—C Certified, Interventional Regenerative Orthopaedic Medicine by the American Association of Orthopaedic Medicine. Furthermore, Dr. Cimikoski is one of a select few Doctors in the USA who have been personally trained by Dr. Charles Runels, the inventor of the Vampire® procedures.
